The Independent: 1.38 lakh char dwellers get healthcare services

A total of 1.38 lakh char dwellers got healthcare services from Friendship, a national NGO, in 2015 side by
 side with receiving education, good governance and disaster related services, reports BSS from Gaibandha. 
It was disclosed in a coordination meeting between the officials of government organization (GO) and the 
other stakeholders at a training centre of an NGO at Madnerpara under Fulchhari upazila on Wednesday 
afternoon. 
Friendship, a reputed national NGO, arranged the function under Healthcare Nutrition and
 Population programme funded by Emirates how to strengthen the healthcare services and family planning
 activities more in the chars through joint efforts of GO and other stakeholders. Fulchhari UNO Masudur
 Rahman Mollah addressed the meeting as the chief guest and deputy director of family planning department
 Dewan Morshed Kamal was present as special guest while civil surgeon Dr. Nirmalendu Chowdhury presided 
over the function. UNO Masudur Rahman Mollah in his speeches assured all of providing all sorts 
of administrative help and assistance to run the health and family planning activities in char areas here 
smoothly to achieve sustainable development goal.
